3114829 - Option "Open Serial Inventory" missing in Stock Overview for a Serial Number

The "Open Serial Inventory" option missing for a Serial number against a product.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Outbound Logistics Work Center.
2. Go to Stock Overview.
3. Search for desired Product.
4. Select Go
5. You see "Open Serial Inventory" could not be seen.

Serial Number profile maintained in a Material is "Mandatory on Transfer to/from Customers, Suppliers and Sites", Hence in Stock Overview we do not see "Open Serial Inventory" in Stock Overview this material.

Serial number input is mandatory in all logistics process and production process scenarios that involves inventory modification.Hence Serial Number profile " Mandatory on all Logistics & Production Processes" should be maintained in Material, to see "Open Serial Inventory" in Stock Overview.

Note: If you have selected "Mandatory on all Logistics & Production Processes" as your serial number profile, the registered product screens provide an additional option - Detailed Inventory Tracking, that details every single inventory movement chronologically from the moment this serial number profile is enabled.
