3115179 - Error while downloading Instance Sync report - [2H 2021]


While trying to download the Sync report from the Instance Sync Monitor tool, error is thrown for sync runs that have numbers and special characters in the name.

Reproducing the Issue

  • Login to a preview instance.
  • Go to Instance Synchronization Monitor Tool.
  • Find any sync run which has numbers and special characters in the name, and click Details.
  • Click Download Report.
  • Error will be shown. 


The issue is due to the application failing to handle certain non alphabetical characters in the name of the Instance Sync.


Our Product team is aware of the issue, and are working on the Solution with priority. We will update this KBA as soon as we have a fix date confirmed.


The problem is only with special characters in the Instance Sync run name. So, if the special characters are removed from the name, the error upon downloading report will not be thrown.
