3115481 - How to generate RESTful Web Services error stack in Tomcat / other WAS

Symptom

In SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform 4.x,

  • By default, RESTful Web Services is hosted from the Web Application Container Service (WACS), a default server in BI Platform
  • As of BI Platform 4.2, the RESTful Web Services web application (biprws) can also be hosted from any supported web application server, e.g. Tomcat, alongside the other BI web applications (BI Launch Pad, CMC...) -- and this is generally recommended, especially to maximize stability under higher loads
  • To troubleshoot RESTful Web Services calls, an error stack can be generated
