3118012 - Some Functional Areas Invisible in Selection of Financial Reporting Structure with Structure Type Income Statement by Function of Expense

Some functional areas are missing in the list when you try to assign them in reporting structure of Income Statement.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Business Configuration work center.
2. Go to Overview view.
3. Search and open Charts of Accounts, Financial Reporting Structures, Account Determination activity.
4. Click on Edit financial reporting structures.
5. Edit the financial reporting structure in question.
6. Select the element in question and then click on Actions->Assign Functional Areas, but you cannot see all the functional areas in the list.

Only the functional areas not already in use in the financial reporting structure can be assigned.

However, it might also happen that the respective Financial Reporting Structure got corrupted. In this case, even if a given functional area is not assigned in the structure, it might not show up for selection.

You can create a new functional area to be assigned in reporting structure or remove the current assignment of functional areas.

In case of corruption of the financial reporting structure, please delete it and build it again from scratch, copying a working one, or using one of the pre-delivered templates.
