3118263 - Releasing a Project gives error FAA_MD191

Symptom

Releasing a project in the Project Control app gives error FAA_MD191 "Depr. areas in asset class &1 do not match the ones for company code &2".

Environment

  • SAP S/4HANA Cloud

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create an investment project with investment profile Model with AuC, summary settlement (000001).
  2. Try to release the project in order to create the AUC and the error is triggered.

Cause

You are using your own Z asset class for the asset, the asset class does not have all depreciation areas in the company code assigned. On CO side you capitalize on the CO Object for all valuations, therefore if the AUC is missing valuation areas it is a problem, so the error is raised. All ledgers and all areas must be present.

Resolution

In SSCUI 102609 - Specify Valuation Views for Asset Class - assign the missing depreciation area managed by the company code.
