3118476 - Project Planning Data not Showing in Reports

Symptom

You are running a project planning report, for example Project Cost and Revenue Details by Project, but some projects are missing entirely or the related key figures are all blank.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Business Analytics work center.
  2. Design Reports view.
  3. Open the e.g. Project Cost and Revenue Details by Project.
  4. Run the report for the desired project ID.

You see that either some/all key figures are blank or the project is not even retrieved.

Cause

There are different reasons for the project plan data to be missing. One of them is that the calculation of project cost estimate failed in financials.

Resolution

You can check the project plan status as follows:

  1. Go to Cost and Revenue work center.
  2. Go to Projects view.
  3. Find the related project.

The last column (Error Status) in this view shows if it was successful or is in error.

You can click Project Plan Value button to display the project's plans and revaluate if required.
