Upon posting to an asset the warning message "Posting will take place in an earlier fiscal year" raised and blocks the operation.

The Balance carryforward is already executed to fiscal YYYY, although the fiscal year YYYY-1 is not yet closed in App 'Make Company Code settings'.

There are 2 fiscal years open in Asset accounting at the same time.

To identify these fiscal years, check the following fields in App 'Make Company Code settings':

- Highest F.Year: YYYY

- Cl. FY: YYYY-2

The field "Highest F.Year" shows the last opened fiscal year, while the field "Cl FY" shows the last closed fiscal year.

Example:

Highest F.Year: 2021

Cl. FY: 2019

As fiscal year 2019 is already closed in Asset accounting and the last fiscal year opened is 2021, there are 2 fiscal years open at the moment (2020 and 2021).

Note:

Fiscal year 2020 will remain open until it is not closed in App 'Make Company Code settings', the job 'Carry forward balances' does not close any fiscal year, only opens the next.
