Symptom
Some changes were made to the external job URL displayed in RCM under the job posting page.
This change has some impact on the resolution of the URL in RMK as well as in term of tracking.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management
Reproducing the Issue
Resolution
What is the change :
Old URL : https://careersd4.successfactors.com/sfcareer/jobreqcareer?jobId=1234&company=xxxx
New URL : https://xxxx.valhalla.stage.jobs2web.com/job-invite/1234/
Impact on resolution of the URL in RMK :
RCM will stop sending RMK a locale, so RMK will add logic to determine the job locale based on the following order :
1- browser locale
2- locale similar to browser locale (e.g. en_GB is browser setting, but en_US can be used)
3- site default locale
4- locale similar to site default locale (e.g. en_GB is site default, but en_US can be used)
5- first alphabetical locale with a job active (or ascending order of creation date)
Impact on tracking:
The job-invite link should not be used to track candidate by including additional parameters such as utm_source.
The final RMK URL should be used to ensure correct tracking.
