3120148 - PREP_INPUT/ASCS_CHK: Again the ASCS Instance is not found at SUM instancelist

Symptom

  • The upgrade is stuck in the phase PREP_INPUT/ASCS_CHK with an error similar to the following:

    Last error code set:
    Again the ASCS Instance is not found at SUM instancelist. Check your system

  • Below are the results of the command "sapcontrol -nr <instance number> -function GetSystemInstanceList". The ASCS instance is with status "YELLOW".

    GetSystemInstanceList
    OK
    hostname, instanceNr, httpPort, httpsPort, startPriority, features, dispstatus
    <hostname>, <instance number>, ..., ... , ..., MESSAGESERVER|ENQUE, YELLOW
