3120367 - Position Matrix to Job Relationship Sync Enhancement ECT-140702 - 2H 2021

When you select to NOT sync matrix relationships in a position change, the system triggers the sync.

Actually, there are two types of matrix sync:

1. Direct Sync : in this incumbent/position is related to user's position, assignment/unassignment of this position directly to the incumbent on current position in action.
2. Indirect Sync : in this incumbent/position is related to matrix position, assignment/unassignment of this position will affect matrix subordinate of the position.

Now in current scenario, you are trying to make changes in incumbent of user position, in this case direct sync will happen. This feature where user can select YES/NO only pertains to indirect sync, i.e. when you are assigning/unassigning incumbent on matrix position.
