The Improved Error Details for Forward Propagation introduced in the 2H 2021 Release, are not Displayed on Deactivating a Positions:

MDF-41577 - Improved Error Details for Forward Propagation

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Navigate to Manage and a selected Position
2. Insert a New Record prior to an existing record
3. Set the Position to Inactive
4. Save
5. The error does not have the prefix - "Changes were propagated forward to future records with errors. Please follow the error details and correct the entry."

This error prefix will only occur or records inserted on a date prior to the date of he first incumbent is assigned to a position.

The error prefix will be displayed when creating a record on a date prior to the date of the first incumbent is assigned to a position.

• For example the position X has two existing records:
• 01/01/2022
• 01/01/1900
• The first incumbent is assigned to the position on 01/01/2018 which is in-between the two existing records.
• If we insert a new record to set the position to Inactive with effective date between 01/01/2018 and 01/01/2022, the error prefix will not be displayed as these dates are on or after the position has an incumbent
• If we insert a new record to set the position to Inactive with effective date between 01/01/1900 and 01/01/2018 the error prefix will be displayed.
