3122266 - Automatic launch the EPM ADD-in from the BPC Web page doesn't work in Microsoft Edge

Symptom

  • The user followed the steps described in the SAP note 3093139 - How to launch the EPM Add-in automatically from the BPC Web page when using Microsoft Edge, but automatic launch still doesn't work.

  • According to SAP and Microsoft documentation, the following changes were made in the Windows registry:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER 
    Key path Software\Policies\Microsoft\Edge\AutoOpenFileTypes\ 
    Value name 1 
    Value type REG_SZ 
    Value data "sapaox" 
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER 
    Key path Software\Policies\Microsoft\Edge\AutoOpenAllowedForURLs 
    Value name 1 
    Value type REG_SZ 
    Value data "https://web-address/"
