3122487 - Error On Accessing Team Absences From Homepage- 2H 2021

Error "Sorry, you aren't authorized to open this" when clicking on "Team Absences" tile from homepage.

1. Login to the instance.
2. Click on 'Team Absences' tile from homepage.
3. Error occurs "Sorry, you aren't authorized to open this"

This is a configuration issue.

Cause 1

If you are using the latest homepage(HP4)(i.e upgraded to "New Experience for the Home Page"), then you need to provide the below permission.

• Manage Permission role -> Time Management User Permissions -> Access Team Absence Calendar

Cause 2

If the error is happening in legacy/old homepage(HP3) and still getting the error, then:

• Check if you have already upgraded to "New Experience for the Home Page" (In Upgrade Center). The instance could be upgraded but the permission "Access the latest homepage"(under General User permission) would not have been provided due to which the homepage still reflects as old homepage.
• If the upgrade is done, then you would need to provide the Permission as mentioned in Cause 1.

Note : With 1H-2022 release, check against latest home page is removed, so managers will be able to access TAC from legacy home page TAC tile without permission "Access Team Absence Calendar".
