Symptom

  • Connection to HANA Database fails with 'Connect to database failed, rc=1, rcSQL=-10709 SQLERRTEXT : Connect failed (connect timeout expired)'  
  • You have already applied the 'Error 1' solution from the 'resolution' part of the KBA 2213725 - How-To: Troubleshooting of -10709 errors, but you still get the timeout error after applying the solution  
  • You notice from the related work process trace file that the timeout happens after exactly 60 seconds
