The Date Format within a date field in Recruiting UI changed from MM/DD/YYYY to MM/dd/yyyy.
- Before b2111: The formatting was MM/DD/YYYY (All in uppercase)
- After b2111: The formatting is MM/dd/yyyy (The day and year are in lower case)

Reproducing the Issue
Go to any page in the Recruiting UI that has a date field and see that the format is appearing as MM/dd/yyyy instead of MM/DD/YYYY e.g. go to Recruiting>Job Requisitions and click on any Job Requisition and scroll down to a date field:
The date formatting value is not changed. The value where the day and year are lowercase is the actual true date format value used by date parsers. The value in all uppercase is a more ‘user friendly’ pattern which is just an ‘example’. The ‘example’ format is noticeably more ‘user friendly’ for certain locales such as Germany. The true date format for this locale is “dd.MM.yyyy”, but to the user the ‘dd’ and the ‘yyyy’ do not make sense. For this scenario, the ‘example’ format would be: ‘TT.MM.JJJJ’.
A fix has been implemented by engineering for this format to be reverted back to the way it was before the 2H 2021 Production Release
- For German locale, the pattern will be TT.MM.JJJJ after the fix
- For English locale and other locales, the pattern will be MM/DD/YYYY after the fix
The fix is to be implemented on Friday 26th November 2021.
