3124492 - Postal code error messages in SAP SRM like Postal code XXX-XXX must have the length 5

Symptom

During RFx or other document creation in SAP SRM you may face the following error messages:

  • AM 650 - Postal code has the length 'zero'
  • AM 653 - Postal code &1 must have the length &2
  • AM 656 - Postal code &1 exceeds &2 characters
  • AR 003 - Postal code must be of length &
  • AR 004 - Postal code may only contain numbers
  • AR 005 - Postal code cannot contain blanks
  • AR 006 - Postal code was not specified
