Symptom

Error QS296 'No selection is possible in display mode' occurs when trying to select a value from F4 help of a field in a notification tab which uses ALV tables (e.g. Items, Activities, Tasks) in TA QM01/QM02, CLM1/CLM2, IW51/IW52.
The situation can occur after system upgrade.
