3126162 - VAT Registration No. is not displayed in the Billing document Output - S/4HANA Cloud

Symptom

Although VAT Registration No. is maintained at Business Partner level, data is not displayed in the Billing document Output.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Manage Billing documents app.
  2. Display a Billing Document.
  3. Check VAT Registration No. Information on header information.
  4. Go to Output items, display a preview from your Output item.

VAT Registration No. is not available.

Cause

This is a Post-BREXIT scenario. GB EU VAT numbers are only allowed for "old" documents, where services rendered date < 1st Jan 2021, or for GB domestic business.

Resolution

This is a system behavior based on BREXIT requirements.
