3126475 - Fault Manager heartbeat startup error -4 - SRS

Symptom

  • Fault Manager reports incorrect status:

    node 1: server hostname1, site Site1.
    db host status: UNKNOWN.
    db status OK hadr status PRIMARY.
    node 2: server hostname2, site Site2.
    db host status: UNKNOWN.
    db status OK hadr status STANDBY.
    replication status: SYNC_OK.
    failover prerequisites fulfilled: NO.

  • Fault Manager log reports:

    heartbeat startup error -4 (service already in use).
    starting heartbeat server failed rc = -4.
    terminateThread (...).
    ThrExitCode returned (0).
    call exited (exit code -4).
    terminateThread (...) done.
    ThrDetach returned (5).
    start heartbeat server failed.

  • Restarting Fault Manager core dumps:

    Segmentation fault   ./sybdbfm hadm pf=/usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/profile/SYBHA.PFL (core dumped)
