Symptom

  • The Capture thread was down
  • In the SAP Replication Server (SRS) errorlog:
        ERROR #2056 CAP Parser( ) - de/generic/prs/sql.y(26737)   
            Line 1, character 1: Incorrect syntax with 'ABC'.
        ERROR #74063 CAP Parser( ) - ic/cmdxlat/xlatcmd.c(3142)   
            Capture failed to parse command: [ABC].
        ERROR #74121 Capture SYNC(<PDS>.<pdb> ) - ic/cmdxlat/xlatint.c(1656)
            Capture SYNC thread for database '<PDS>.<pdb>' is exiting because of a parser error.
