You encounter error message "G/L account (local) &1 doesn't exist in company code &2" (FDC_POSTING_001 069) when posting to an account despite this account existing in the master data for the specified company code.

This error can occur when the flag "Use Alternative Acct" is set in the journal entry options for the user, and the specified account does not have an alternative account number maintained.

Please take the following steps to resolve this error:

1. Open app 'Edit Options for Journal Entries - My Settings' (ID F2130)
2. Ensure that the flag "Use Alternative Acct" is not set.
