3127678 - The Button 'Delete' is Disabled for Expense Types.

You would like to delete some expense types for some countries, but you see the function is disabled.

SAP Business ByDesign.

1. Go to Business Configuration Work Center.
2. Go to Overview View.
3. Search and open activity expense reporting - ABC(ABC stands for the Country).
4. Click Edit Expense Types.
5. You will see the button 'Delete' is disabled(The button 'Delete' is grey out).

Currently, for some Countries/Regions like France, Canada and China etc, the function 'Delete' is disabled.

But for Countries/Regions like Germany and Austria etc, the function 'Delete' is enabled.

Despite you can not delete the expense types for some Countries/Regions, you could use below method as a workaround to make sure relevant expense types won't be shown when you create expense reports:

1. Go to Business Configuration Work Center.
2. Go to Overview View.
3. Search and open activity expense reporting - ABC(ABC stands for the Country).
4. Click Edit Expense Types.
5. Select the Expense Type you want to disable, you see the Valid To is Unlimited.
6. Click Add Row, then the Column Valid To is editable for the line mentioned in step 5.
7. Delete the new row and enter a previous date in the Valid To.
8. Click Save and Close.

Then this expense type will be disabled and will not be shown when you create expense report for a date after the one in the column Valid To.
