To run PAL process you need to have some sales order related fields. With the Fiori App "manage characteristics catalogs" you are not able to enhance to catalog e.g. for the "sales order type" (VBAK-AUART) or "item category" (VBAP-PSTYV). The SAP help documentation is not describing how this can be done.
