3129314 - DB2 index should not be dropped and created when table column is renamed - SAP PD

Symptom

  • IBM DB2 for z/OS uses the RENAME command to rename a table column.
  • When the renamed column is an index column, PD drops the index, renames the table column and create the index with the new column name.
  • DB2 does not require to recreate the index, it should only rename the table column.
