3129473 - Internal candidate encounters error "A system error occurred when attempting to map your information to system settings" when applying - Recruiting Management

Internal candidates are receiving error messages when they attempt to apply to a job requisition.

Error:
Your Work Has Not Been Saved!
A system error occurred when attempting to map your information to system settings. Contact your Administrator for assistance.

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management 

1. Login to the system as user (Internal candidate)
2. Apply to an internal job posting
3. Page will redirect to Internal Candidate Profile
4. Click [Next] button to advance to the Application page
5. Error will occur

Misconfiguration issue. The "minority" field (SDM Standard Element) can only be configured as Boolean. Picklist not supported.

Per error logs:
"Caused by: java.lang.ClassCastException: java.lang.String (loaded by <bootstrap>) cannot be cast to java.lang.Boolean (loaded by <bootstrap>)"

Remove the sm-mapping. For further information, please review the following Implementation Guide: Succession Data Model to Succession Org Chart Mapping Values of Standard Elements

Please note that we Support are not knowledgeable of the impact of keeping the affected field configured as picklist in SDM and support will not evaluate this. The customer needs to discuss this with their Implementation partner that caused this misconfiguration.
