Symptom
- When issue a command, message 16802 is returned stating no permission is set to run that command.
- It can be seen for virtually all administrative (non-DML) ASE commands. Below a few examples, just to illustrate the issue:
sp_addserver new_server
go
Msg 16802, Level 14, State 1
Server 'ASE', Procedure 'sp_addserver', Line 185
You must have the following permission to execute this command/procedure: 'manage server'. Please contact a user with the appropriate permission for help.
sp_addlogin testlogin, testpassword
go

Server 'ASE', Procedure 'sp_addlogin', Line 244
You must have the following permission to execute this command/procedure: 'manage any login'. Please contact a user with the appropriate permission for help.
