3131900 - Granular permission message 16802 - SAP ASE

• When issue a command, message 16802 is returned stating no permission is set to run that command
• It can be seen for virtually all administrative (non-DML) ASE commands. Below a few examples, just to illustrate the issue :

sp_addserver new_server

Msg 16802, Level 14, State 1
Server 'ASE', Procedure 'sp_addserver', Line 185
You must have the following permission to execute this command/procedure: 'manage server'. Please contact a user with the appropriate permission for help.

sp_addlogin report

Msg 16802, Level 14, State 1

You must have the following permission to execute this command/procedure: 'manage any login'. Please contact a user with the appropriate permission for help.

• SAP Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE) 15.7 & 16.0
• "enable granular permissions" is ON
