3133984 - Facing "Proxy Error", "The timeout specified has expired" exceptions when operating in CCV2

Symptom

Scenario 1:

The following error page can be seen

Proxy Error
The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server
The proxy server could not handle the request
Reason: Error reading from remote server

This can happen:

  • While executing Impex in HAC
  • When accessing the store
  • When accessing Backoffice

Scenario 2:

In Dynatrace you can see those failed 502 traces have long response time > 1min

when checking the log you see the error similar to:

[proxy_http:error] [pid 144717:tid 139768065645368] (70007)The timeout specified has expired: [client 44.201.212.46:52692] AH01102: error reading status line from remote server xx.xx.xx.xx:8081

[proxy:error] [pid 144717:tid 139768065645368] [client 44.201.212.46:52692] AH00898: Error reading from remote server returned by /rest/v2/xxx/xxx
