3134584 - Newly Created Company Name is Not Displayed in Companies View of General Ledger Work Center

You have created and activated Company XYZ (XYZ refers to the ID of the Company), with validity date as a date in the future. Although the Company is consistent, it does not appear in the General Ledger work center, Companies view, as well as other work centers.

1. Go to the General Ledger work center.
2. Go to the Companies view.
3. Search for Company XYZ.

For most of the organisational structure, we have two concepts of name - one is name, and one is current name. For most of the Financials screens, we get the "current" name node. In this case, there's no current name filled yet, because the company will only be valid in the future.

From that date onwards, the system will populate the current name and it will show correctly.

When you create org structures with Start Dates in the future, they may not behave as expected until their start date is reached.

This is the expected system behavior. When the new Company reaches its validity date, it will then appear normally.
