3135162 - Amount to be billed changes results in rounding on billing item - Switzerland S/4HANA Cloud

Symptom

If you maintain a value for "Amount to be billed" for a billing item within a Project, after saving, the value is being increased or decreased by 0,01 CHF or 0,02 CHF.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud all versions

Reproducing the Issue

  1. On Plan customer project app, navigate through your project.
  2. Go to Billing tab and maintain a value for "Amount to be billed" for one billing item(e.g 121,000 and save).
*this amount is increased by 0.01 CHF or 0.02 CHF or decreased by 0.01 CHF or 0.02 CHF

Cause

Since Switzerland is defined that the total value must be divisible without remainder by 0,05 CHF (5-Rappen rounding), a rounding difference will be calculated.

If "Net value + tax" does not end with a 0 or a 5 in the second decimal place, this amount is increased by 0.01 CHF or 0.02 CHF or decreased by 0.01 CHF or 0.02 CHF to fulfill this condition.

Resolution

System is designed to work as per country requirement.
