3135680 - All tasks fail with repository <SQLDriverConnect> error after moving the repository database - SAP Information Steward 4.2

Symptom

  • Successfully migrated Information Steward (IS) repository from <database1> to <database2>.
  • After the migration, all the data profiling tasks fail with the following error:
    CON-120307: Initialization ODBC call <SQLDriverConnect> to connect database <database2> failed with error: <ODBC call <SQLDriverConnect> for data source <database2> failed: <[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBNETLIB]SQL Server does not exist or access denied. [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBNETLIB]ConnectionOpen (Connect()).>. Notify Customer Support.>.
  • Checked the repository table of AL_MACHINE_INFO and all the entries are updated correctly.
  • Checked the IS repository connection in CMC and it's set properly.
