Symptom

  • On a database larger than 4T in size
  • A dump using TSM fails
  • With message including "ANS0344E (RC2107) Cannot Send data with a zero byte sizeEstimate"
  • The Backup Server log shows :

Backup Server: 4.124.2.1: Archive API error for device='syb_tsm::SID_Full_DB_DUMP_Oct_10_2021_14_14::000':
Vendor application name=Sybase-TSM API, Library version=2, API routine=syb_write(),
Message=Tivoli Storage Manager error returned. Message = ANS0344E (RC2107) Cannot Send data with a zero byte sizeEstimate
