3137223 - Deleting an asset is not possible in SAP S/4HANA Cloud

Trying to delete an asset results in error message FAA_MD 048 - 'It is not possible to delete asset &1 because postings exist'.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud

1. In the Manage Fixed Asset app, select the asset.
2. Press the delete button and the error is triggered. 

There are postings made against the asset, therefore deletion is not possible.
Please note that reversing a journal entry does not delete the journal entry, it creates an inverse journal entry or the original journal entry, therefore postings still exist and deletion is correctly blocked. 

Considering retiring the asset is a possibility, which will set the deactivation date and no further posting will be possible.

Setting the Block flag is also an option, which will stop further acquisitions being posted to the asset.
