3138015 - Dynamic SQL caused Signal 11 in subparams() with pss->plasterror set to 2601 – SAP ASE

Symptom

  • ASE errorlog reports a Signal 11 error in the function subparams() together with a stack trace:

    Current process (0x17730bba) infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
    Address 0x0x000000000209acdc (subparams+0x4ec), siginfo (code, address) = (1, 0x0x00000000000000d8)
  • The the last error shown in the stack trace is 2601:

    lasterror = 2601 preverror = 0 transtate = 2

    which is:

    Insert duplicate key row in object 'mytable' with unique index 'ind_mytable" in 'sendbuf XXX.

  • Client cursor had been converted to execute cursor to store in statement cache.
  • Configurable parameter 'streamlined dynamic sql' = 1 or ‘enable functionality group’=1.
