Symptom

  • A role added to a custom App is not working and the app is not visible in the Fiori Launchpad
  • The app is created which requires the user to have a specific role to be visible in the Fiori Launchpad
  • Mapping the role in IAS is successful in adding the role to the user record
  • Mapping the role manually is also successful in adding the role to the  user record
  • Even though the role is added to the user record, the app is not visible to the user in the Fiori Launchpad
  • Adding the Everyone role for the app, then the app is visible for the user
