3138063 - SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) TOP-N functionality only allows at most granular level in a table

In SAC when creating a TOP N it does it on the most granular level. For example if wanting to display the TOP 10 products of the year but then show monthy data, the TOP N becomes TOP 10 per month, which are not necessariy the top 10 of the year.

• SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 2022.1.0

1. Create a chart with a measure and a Year dimension.
2. Add a top N to the chart.
3. Now add a month dimension.
4. Notice that each month may have different items the TOP N is no longer based on the year.

This is a design limitation of the SAC in that the TOP N is always done at the most granular level in the chart.

2. As a work around if it is possible to create the query or view on the database server calculate the TOP N and consume that view in SAC.
