• The hierarchy gets removed and displays as a flat list in a table after the prompt values are submitted.
• In optimized view mode hierarchy display remains even after submitting prompt values.

• SAP Analytics Cloud 

1. Create a table with hierarchy display.
2. Submit prompt values.
3. Observe hierarchy is removed and it displays as flat list.

• This is a by design behavior.
• Hierarchy variable submit on a story applies to all widgets in the story.

• To prevent a specific table to be updated after a story variable submit, use the option 'Set Table Variables' (local variables).
• Click on  in the table header, and then select the option 'Set Table Variables'.
