3138402 - PO - IDOC's are failing with No IDoc saved in target system (SOAP HTTP adapter)

Symptom

  • When using SOAP HTTP adapter for IDOC, the following error message was issued in Message Monitor: 
    An internal error occurred. For error details check MPL ID <message id> in message monitoring or use the URL https://<tenant_id>-tmn.hci.<region>.hana.ondemand.com:443/itspaces/shell/monitoring/M
      
  •  The following error can be found in the message processing log for the message id mentioned above: 
    Error Details

    Inbound processing in endpoint at /receiveIDOC failed with message "Fault:[com.ctc.wstx.exc.WstxLazyException] Illegal character entity: expansion character (code 0x2
    at [row,col {unknown-source}]: [1,147815]", caused by "WstxParsingException:Illegal character entity: expansion character (code 0x2
    at [row,col {unknown-source}]: [1,147815]"
