3138429 - Not able to edit SmartEdit settings due to character length - SAP Commerce

Symptom

SmartEdit throws a 500 message or the below exceptions when adding values to configuration field in the SmartEdit settings:

  • "nested exception is com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: String or binary data would be truncated due to org.springframework.jdbc.UncategorizedSQLException: query; uncategorized SQLException for SQL []; SQL state [S0001]; error code [2628]; String or binary data would be truncated in table"
