3138487 - ASE crash while retrieving query plan for cached statements - SAP ASE

Symptom

SAP ASE database crashes and shuts down while using "Runtime Explain" option in DBACockpit, on systems running SAP applications.

For systems running custom applications, the error  may occur while using the function: show_cached_plan_in_xml() to gather the query plan for cached statements

Following errors are received in the ASE errorlog, leading up to the shutdown of the ASE:
