Symptom
For an unreleased customer return delivery, fulfilled quantity is zero but button Cancel is disabled.
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Inbound Logistics work center.
- Go to Inbound Deliveries view.
- Search XXX (XXX represents the ID of an inbound delivery), it is delivery finished, not released, not canceled, and button Cancel is disabled.
- Click Edit, select tab Document Flow, select Extended View in drop down list.
- Open inbound warehouse order YYY (YYY represents the ID of warehouse order), select tab Operations, we can see both open and fulfilled quantity is zero.
Cause
It is possible to perform Post Goods Receipt with zero quantity or confirm an inbound warehouse task with zero quantity with deviation which makes corresponding inbound delivery released with zero quantity. However, after undo release, the cancel button is disabled as the delivery processing status is finished. This is a known limitation.
Resolution
We have a workaround for this: In inbound warehourse order YYY, perform adjustment confirmation with positive quantity (for example 1 ea) and then perform adjustment confirmation with negative quantity (-1 ea). This will make the Cancel button on inbound delivery XXX enabled.
