3140999 - Fixed Asset Migration Error: Asset "PQR" Val.View : Depreciation Positive

During the Fixed Asset migration process, the error message 'Asset "PQR" val.view : Depreciation positive' appears.

(Here PQR is the Desription of Fixed Asset)

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
2. Go to the Overview view.
3. Find Migration of Accounting Transaction Data activity.
4. Click Open.
5. Click Migrate accounting transaction data using the migration tool.
6. Select the relevant migration unit.
7. Click Execute Migration.
8. Select Migration Object Fixed Assets.
9. Click Process File.
10. Go to Step c.

 The following error is raised:

Error detected in source record 
Asset "PQR" val.view : Depreciation positive

This error message appears for some of the valuation views, you have entered positive amount for Depreciation amount in the Migraiton file.

Positive amount is not allowed for Depreciation value during the Migration.

You need to enter negative value for the Deprecation in the migration file.

Once the Fixed Asset is created, then you can create a Revaluation or Write-up posting via the Manual Postings functionality.
