How is guidelines distribution calculated when using range operator ‘Is between’?

SAP SuccessFactors Calibration

Reproducing the Issue

  1. For example, guideline is configured as below, setting 50%-70% for rating 3 - Meets Expectations, and 10%-20% for 4 - Outstanding.

  2. The total subjects here is 13, and distribution result in calibration session is showing 1, 1, 6~10, 1~3, 1.

Resolution

The calculation rule for ‘Is between’ is Round down for min, Round up for max in range.

The min/max value in range 50%-70% is 6.5/9.1. Then round down for the min value 6.5, and round up for the max value 9.1, we get the subject range 6~10 as a result. The same with 4-Outstanding, range for this rating is calculated to 1~3.
