3143225 - Error transferring an employee to new position - Employee Central

When trying to save a transfer for an employee to another position following error occurs:

"Sorry an error occurred while executing position processes. An error occurred while transferring the child positions of position (position A) to position (position B). You cannot save your changes because follow-up processes for the position position failed."

Effective date issue in the position object:

The effective date of (Position B) is after the effective start date of the child Positions of (Position A)  hence it is not possible to assign the child Positions of the Position: Position A to the parent (Position B) as this (Position B) is not valid (effective) as of the date the child positions should be assigned to this position.

1. Please go to Manage Position
2. Make Correction
3. Change Effective date of position B to be aligned with Position A.
