3143298 - HTTP 400 while configuring a Service Channel for SAP HANA Database in SAP Cloud Connector

Symptom

The following error can be seen in the Cloud Connector traces after configuring a Service Channel for SAP HANA Database:

#User <user> enables Service channel <channel name> to <SAP HANA instance name> on local port <port>. The channel could not be opened.
com.sap.scc.servlets.RequestFailureExecution$RuntimeFailure: Service channel could not be opened
Caused by: com.sap.core.connectivity.tunnel.api.management.ConnectionFailedException:
 Unable to retrieve forwarding tunnel routing and mapping information due to: HTTP 400 Bad Request
