3143318 - Unable to change the contract type of a P001 product from Fixed Price to Time and Expense

• Changing an item that was created with contract type 'Time and Expense Billing' to 'Fix Price' does not result in the changing of a product or warning/error message.
• Updating a 'Project-Based Service: Fixed Price' item from contract type 'Fixed Price' to 'Time and Expense Billing' results in error: You have chosen a contract type that is not permitted for material P001. The system will revert to the previous contract type.

Product P002 uses item category group PSTE (Time and Expense Item). This item category group caters for multiple item categories; i.e. Fixed Price, Time & Expenses, Periodic Service & Usage Based. Product P001 is assigned to item category group PSFP which only permits a fixed price selection.

The system is behaving as designed.
