Symptom

  • Dataserver instance unresponsive and server had to be bounced following a dbcc dbreboot
  • The following messages are written to the ASE log with numerous 'no more alarms' messages:

    Error: 941, Severity: 20, State: 1
    Illegal database context operation. 
    uasetalarm: no more alarms available
    uasetalarm: no more alarms available
    uppause: No free alarms available.   
    uppause: No free alarms available.
    etc.
