Symptom
- When the Employee is Hired, the Time accounts for are only created for the next period after Hire date.
- The expectation is that the Time accounts for all the periods are created from hire date/period to the the current period.
- However, after hiring the employee, when there is any slight change to the job information hire record, all the old Time accounts are created
Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite
- SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
Reproducing the Issue
- There is a Time account type that is valid from 29 December on the TAT settings.
- On 26 Jan, 2022, say you try to hire an employee with a Hire date of Nov 25, 2021.
- The Time accounts from 29 Dec, 2021-28 Dec 2022 is created
- Now, When a small change is introduced in the hire record, say, move the hire date to Nov 24, 2021, an additional Time account is also created from Nov 24, 2021-Dec 28, 2021.
Cause
This is an Expected behavior
Resolution
- When adding a time profile via the new hire screen for a past-dated hire only the account which is valid as of today is created.
- If a past-dated job info change is done instead assigning a time profile, all accounts since that date are created.
- We plan to harmonize the behavior in future.
- You can run the account creation calendar to create the older accounts as well if you still need them.
