3143745 - Customise Color Coding Configuration not Reflecting on the Calendar

Symptom

Despite having created a customized Calendar Color Categorisation for various activity types, the default colors are still showing and the newly set ones are not reflecting on the calendar.

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

Environment

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Administrator Work Center
  2. Go to the General Settings View
  3. Click Calendar Color Categorization
  4. In the section Customize Color Coding Configuration click the Add button.
  5. Choose Color, Activity Type, Parametre and Parametre Value
  6. Save
  7. Go to the Calendar View.

Result: the color is not reflected. The default color settings are shown.

Cause

The parametre you selected is not set as visible (via adaptation) to the Activity Type (business object) header, or else, the parametre value is no match and does not meet the condition you set.

Example:

You set a color for the activity type Visit with parameter Visit Type value = Business Visit. However, the field Visit Type is not set as visible in the visit header. Another reason could be the field is visible but the matching value is not set.

Resolution

Make sure the parameter that you choose (for example the Visit Type field as in our example above) is visible in the header and that the matching value is maintained.
