Symptom

  • ASE installer changes to System PATH due to CVE-2022-22528 
  • ASE Installer does not set System PATH entries anymore
  • What changes were make to mitigate CVE-2022-22528?

  • When starting ASE or using an ASE utility, 'missing file' errors are returned, for example :
    • "cannot find NT Sybase SQL Server DLL"
    • Missing libsybcs.dll
