Symptom

  • SAVE_TEXT Function Module (either directly or in a custom program) is used to update texts in sales documents (order, delivery, billing document).
  • There are document types for which no text determination procedure is assigned in VOTXN transaction.
  • Even though no texts are visible in the sales documents it is possible to save a text with the function module and STXH/STXL tables are getting updated.
  • The expectation is that FM SAVE_TEXT checks the text determination procedure and issues an error or stops text creation if this was not maintained.
